Together We Thrive

Specialist SEND Advocacy and Emotional Wellbeing Support for Families

SENAID supports parents and carers of children with SEND to navigate education systems, access the right support, and reduce emotional overwhelm through legally informed advocacy and community-based wellbeing support.

Who Are SENAID?

SENAID is a non-profit organisation committed to supporting the needs
of children and young people with SEND within education. Founded in
October 2023 and officially launched in April 2024, our organisation
aims to empower potential and champion inclusivity in education.

Our mission is to empower parents, caregivers, and children through vital resources, guidance, and services tailored to the SEND community. We provide advice, connect families with local resources, and offer direct intervention services to ensure children and families are not isolated in their educational journeys.

We strive to raise awareness, influence policy change, and ensure every child with SEND can access the support and inclusion they deserve. Our approach is holistic, compassionate, and community-centred.

The SENAID Approach

We take a needs-led, not process-driven, approach—offering clear, honest and empowering support rooted in dignity, respect and trust. Rather than quick fixes, we help families navigate complex systems and build the confidence to advocate effectively for their child.

01.

Championing Rights through Advocacy

We provide expert representation and support to help families navigate complex educational systems. Our goal is to ensure children and young people can access the essential services they are entitled to for their development.

02.

Navigating Statutory Frameworks

Our team offers clear, comprehensive guidance on the statutory frameworks related to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We actively assist families in initiating Education, Health, and Care (EHC) assessments to secure appropriate, long-term support.

03.

Prioritising Emotional Well-being

We provide compassionate, personalised assistance to promote the emotional health of both children and their families. By fostering a supportive environment, we empower those navigating the unique complexities and challenges of the SEND journey.

04.

Connecting the SEND Community

Through our dedicated telephone helpline and virtual online forums, we offer immediate access to expert advice and peer support. These platforms allow families to share resources, experiences, and guidance within a secure, empowering community.

05.

Forging Impactful Collaborations

We build strong partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organisations to enhance referral pathways. By coordinating interdisciplinary care and joint initiatives, we create a more integrated support network for young people.

06.

Empowering Educational Potential

Founded to champion inclusivity, our mission is to transform the educational experience for every child with SEND. We are committed to helping students achieve their academic goals and lead happy, fulfilled lives.

Impact Stories

Parent (EHC Plan Support)

“I was really struggling to understand the EHCP process and didn’t feel supported. SENAID took the time to explain everything clearly and helped me feel more confident. I finally felt like someone was on my side, and my daughter’s needs are now being taken seriously.”

— Nazia B., Parent

Partner Agency (Early Help Worker)

“I’ve referred a few families to SENAID and they’ve always been really supportive. They’re responsive, clear about what they can offer, and genuinely try to help. It’s been great having a service like this to link in with.”

—Lauren W, Early Help Worker

Parent (School-based Support)

“I reached out to SENAID when things got really tough. My son wasn’t going into school and I didn’t know what else to do. Umar listened without judgment and helped me see what support we could ask for. It made a big difference just knowing someone understood what we were going through.”

— Hayley M, Parent
